Mt. Hood over Timothy Lake

Timothy Lake, Mt. Hood Oregon

I was at Timothy Lake a few years ago and took this shot of Mt. Hood.  It's a beautiful place to camp and fish, not that I had any luck on the fishing but scenery made up for it.

Hot Air Balloon Rides, Newberg Oregon

Early morning balloon rides in Newberg Oregon are great for amazing shots.  My Mother and Father-In-Law took a balloon ride for their 40th wedding anniversary.  They had a great time. The day was sunny, clear and cool, perfect for a view of Newberg Oregon and the surrounding area.

I used my Panasonic DMC-FZ8 camera with 12x zoom.  My in-laws were able to blow up a few pictures they liked to an 8x10 size and were very happy with the quality.

Cannon Beach Oregon Sea Creatures

Pink Sea Anemone Cannon Beach Oregon

Barnacle Covered Rock Cannon Beach Oregon
While wandering along Cannon Beach the boys and I stumbled on the wonderful tide pools nestled at the foot of looming Haystack Rock. At the time I only had my Canon PowerShot so the shots were quick and dirty.  This camera has been a life saver for shots on the fly.

The pink sea anemone was wonderful to see and I am a sucker for rocks with barnacles.  Great trip and great weather.

Airplane Photography Hillsboro Oregon

DC-3 Parked at Hillsboro Oregon Airport
DC-3 Parked at Hillsboro Oregon Airport (KHIO)
I was visiting the Hillsboro Oregon airport back in August 2009 and was lucky enough to see this beautiful DC-3 parked out front of Aero Air (FBO) as they were prepping it for departure.  The sun was just setting and the plane was reflecting the orange and deep blues of the horizon.  I quickly walked as close as I could to the tarmac but the fence prevented me to get any closer then about 75 yards from the plane. Luckily that was just enough to frame this shot, 5 sec's before they fired up the left engine.
